Twice a year, in both spring and fall, the Friends Foundation of the Nancy Carson Library hosts an exciting event – The BIG BOOK SALE. This highly anticipated occasion brings together book lovers from our community and beyond to discover hidden literary treasures while supporting a great cause.
What is Offered?
At The BIG BOOK SALE, you’ll find a diverse selection of books that have been carefully curated from two sources: books weeded from the Nancy Carson Library collection and books generously donated by our library patrons. This unique combination ensures a wide variety of titles and genres to cater to every reader’s taste.

These funds directly support the Friends Foundation’s mission of distributing affordable books back into our community. Best of all, most books are priced at $2 or less, allowing you to expand your personal library without breaking the bank. We accept both cash and credit card payments for your convenience.
Friends Uniting for a Cause
The Friends Foundation is powered by a passionate group of members who collect, sort, and organize the donated materials in preparation for The BIG BOOK SALE. During the event, our dedicated Friends are present to assist patrons in finding items of interest and accepting payments for purchases. What’s remarkable is that every single dollar received goes towards supporting non-budgeted library services. By joining forces, we make a lasting impact on our library and community.
